The Harry Potter Tag!

Hello Everybody! I have wanted to do something on my blog for a while now but never had the time to do anything but today is my first ever tag! 

I couldn't wait to do the Harry Potter Tag which i got the idea from my lovely friend Katie @intothebookcase which you can check out her's here.

I am such a huge Harry Potter fan whether its the books or the films! I basically grew up with Harry, Ron & Hermione in my life. Every time the books came out my dad would buy me a copy of the book on his way home from work at like 4.30am and it would be in my hands by time I woke up for school.

 I remember when the last book Deathly Hallows I was queuing up outside Asda eagerly waiting for my very own copy with my mum & sister. 

I always wanted to receive my own Hogwarts letter but never arrived :( 

So Let's crack on with The Harry Potter Tag!

1) What is your favourite book?

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was the favourite for me, I loved reading about Ernie and the purple double decker bus but also the beginning of Hogsmeade, I kept dreaming I was there with a cup of Butterbeer so much!

2) What is your favourite film?

I loved all the films in their own little way but hands down favourite has to be the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stones. The clips of Hogwarts, the Hogwarts letters Harry kept receiving, Hogwarts Express, the sorting hat, Just everything of the first film had me all excited and I loved so much!

3) What is your least favourite book?

I didn't really rate the film and the book was huge & just so long! the Triwizard tournament just didn't get me as hooked.

4) What is your least favourite film?

As much I love the Harry Potter films..I always felt the Goblet of fire was a bit boring for me. The Triwizard cup just seemed to drag on and i didn't really rate the film although Robert Pattinson was in this film hehe!

5) Parts of the books/films that made you cry?

When Professor Albus Dumbledore got killed..that crushed me the most also when Dobby died well I was a blubbering wreck at the cinema :(

6) If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?

 I had a huge crush on Oliver Wood throughout my Harry Potter years and still think he's cute now!

7) Who is your favourite character?

Hermione Granger is my favourite character throughout all the films, she had me giggling with insults to ron, her witty comments and her general braveness about everything.

8) Who is your least favourite character?

Mrs Umbridge I detest so much! She was so annoying in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! She thought she was really something and was glad to see the back of her tbh!

9) What would your Patronus be? 

 

 I think either an Owl or a Dolphin would be my Patronus as they are the two animals I do love a lot. 

10) If you could have the resurrection stone, invisibility cloak or elder wand, which would it be? 

I think i'd want the resurrection stone for a while to see some people who meant dear to me in the past but I would have soo much fun with the invisibility cloak for sure!

 11) Which house would you be in?

I would love to be in Gryffindor but not sure I am so brave and daring..but when I joined Pottermore I was placed in Hufflepuff..with when reading quotes I fit in just perfect!

12) If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

Rupert Grint is the one who I want to meet so much! Such a cheeky chap, he kinda cute and also a pal of Ed Sheeran's ;-) 

13) If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?

I think I would either be the Chaser as I can be a decent thrower when I need to be, Years of practice playing rounders at school helped.

14) Were you happy with the ending?

Of course I was happy with the ending, although I was gutted it was the last time we would be seeing them  and with all the deaths that voldermort had caused did upset me a lot but it was nice to see how they ended up in their lives, it was cute! 

 

15) How much does Harry Potter mean to me?

Harry Potter means the absolute world to me! My Childhood is in them books & films forever in my heart! I cannot wait to read the stories to my own children when i'm older! They will love them just as much as I do!

Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens Blog Tour

Today I am Part of S.C. Stephens Thoughtful blog tour! If anybody knows who Kellan Kyle or read the thoughtless series then you will be mega excited to read this!

I was so excited when the lovely Clara from Little Brown asked me to be part of this blog tour as I've only recently just read the "Thoughtless" Series and loved it so I was thrilled when I was told there was a new book in the series!

Kellan Kyle is one hell of a fine man! He comes across as a typical rockstar just wanting to bang every girl he can lay his eyes on but deep down he wants to settle down and have a girl who he can love forever..

This book is just fantastic! I don't know how much I can talk about this book without telling you everything! You most definitely will love Kellan Kyle by the end of the book and will want to read the other books if you haven't already! I adored Thoughtful so much and while reading it answered so many things I had going through my head when I first read Thoughtless which I knew would only get answered by Kellan in his own story.

Thoughtful has received 5 star rating for being amazing, sexy, blessed with handsome rockstar men and so perfect!!

As Good As It Gets? by Fiona Gibson Blog Tour

Today I'm part of the wonderful Fiona Gibson's new book As Good as it Gets? Blog tour. 

I always know when I pick up a book by Fiona that I am going to be giggling along and they are a light hearted read.

In As Good as it Gets? we meet Charlotte Bristow who has a lot on her plate, whether its working a full time job, dealing with her husband not having a job, or her 16 year old daughter Rosie who has just been newly signed to a model agency..Charlotte has it tough! Things are changing in their household and sometimes not for the better.

I thoroughly enjoyed and loved this so much, there was plenty of laugh out loud moments throughout the book especially the beginning of the book started with letters with some humour had me giggling right away.  I felt a little sorry for Charlotte throughout the book as you could really tell she had her hands full but also the way Fiona writes her books, its just like real life situations with no fairy tale dusting.

Fiona has once again written a superb book that is light hearted with a beautiful colourful cover that is a great easy read. I would highly recommend picking this up next time your shopping.

Book Review: The Book Of You by Claire Kendal

The Book of you is about a lady called Clarissa who is being stalked by a work colleague called Rafe, he won't leave her alone, everywhere she turns he's there, he leaves her gifts and most certainly won't take no for answer. When Clarissa get's to be part of Jury service, she finally feels safe for a while...but for how long?

There is no words to describe how hooked I was with this book and how I was really worried for Clarissa and what Rafe was going to do to her.

This is Claire Kendal's debut novel and what a superb way to get noticed! The Book of You is just thrilling that your looking behind yourself just like Clarissa is doing.

Clarissa is a 38 year old English woman who takes up with a distant coworker one night at a little party after his book is published and something dark happens that changes her life in every way. This guy, Rafe, stalks her every move and she becomes like a prisoner in her own life. He's everywhere. Her house, her work, the park...and he leaves lots of notes and gifts for her.

I liked the style of writing Claire has done, the way we flick between the "book" all about Rafe and his ways of stalking following instructions from a leaflet about Domestic abuse telling her to write everything down so that what she does. To present day but she doesn't get much of present day until she is that court being part of Jury service. 
The question is when will Rafe get the picture that Clarissa isn't interested..maybe when it's too late? as Clarissa is writing in the journal every day she see's him and the unwanted gifts she keeps tucked away so when the time comes to go straight to the police that they will listen to her and there will be plenty of evidence... the only place Clarissa feels safe is in the Court House and when she gets to know the other people part of Jury service, she become's friendly with a guy called Robert but becoming more than friends with Robert angers Rafe and isn't a good thing!
The Book of You is one gripping and scary book! for fan's who love to read a good psychological thriller then you will love this!
You may not sleep without wanting to keep the light on but it'll be worth it!

Book Review: The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

Well I have heard so much about this book and the cover of the book drew me in straight away! I had the pleasure of getting an e-copy of Netgalley and I couldn't wait to jump in as I've heard from a lot of blogger friends that they had enjoyed it so I wanted to check out the book!

We meet Rachel who catches the same commuter train every morning when the train stops at this stop she sees a row of houses by the tracks where she imagines a life for a couple who she sees day to day on her commute who happen to live couple of doors down from where she used to live with her Ex Husband Tom.

Rachel one day is on the commuter train when she sees something terrible but once it has happened after that..things start to unravel so much....Rachel gets into deep then!

I'l admit it is hard to like Rachel as she is a heavy drinker and just comes across as a bit of a nutter and seems to just stalk her ex husband a lot, I really didn't think i was going to be able to get into this book so much but I must tell you to carry on if you think your gonna hate it at the beginning because it gets bloody good towards the end chapters I was gob smacked as I never thought It was a certain character from the book at all.

This review is hard to tell you what I loved the most without giving the story away too much! Although I can definitely say The Girl On The Train is the most talked about book of January 2015 and may even still be by the end of the year too!

 I have recently got into Psychological Thrillers and this book is definitely right at the top for me right now! It is the most thrilling and page turning book!

I had never of Paula Hawkins before but The Girl On The Train being her debut Novel she's definitely brought the blogging community to a craze this year!

I would definitely recommend going buying The Girl On The Train when its out on 15th January!

You won't want to miss out!
