The Story of You By Katy Regan Blog Tour

Today I'm kicking off the blog tour for The Story of You by Katy Regan, I was so thrilled to be asked by Louise Swannell @ Harpercollins to join this wonderful blog tour and I couldn't wait to read!
I loved Katy's last book How We Met, I laughed and I cried but I enjoyed very much..so I kinda knew I was going to love this book just as much...was I wrong? no!

The blurb doesn't give much away about what the story is about which is kind of good because it keeps a mystery and will unfold as you read. We meet Robyn who we basically get to know through every chapter, she has some ups and downs in her life a bit like a rollercoaster in which you kind of feel sorry for her, each chapter flicks between months and there is also letters to somebody called Lily which keeps you trying to guess throughout the book.
The Story of You was never going to be a happy teenager romance from 16 years old, It's full of happiness and sadness. Seemed very dark at times but keeps you gripped to the pages wanting to find out more. I did love reading it so much, I love the idea of the blurb not giving much away so you feel you can be sucked in by the chapters right away and not having a clue what is going to happen next.

The Story Of You has been written so beautifully, keeps you guessing and is very heartbreaking. I really urge people to go grab this book from the shelves and give it a try, If you love a good book which keeps you gripped but with plenty of happiness, loss, sadness and heartbreak then The Story of You is one you need to buy!

How We Met By Katy Regan

Title: How We Met
Author: Katy Regan
Publisher: HarperCollins
Publication Date: 31st January 2013

There are some people you can't imagine life without.
Liv Jenkins had been meticulously planning her ultimate to-do-list - from the outrageous to sensible - of everything she longed to do before her dreaded thirtieth birthday, but when tragedy struck she never got the chance. . .
Two years later, Liv's five closest friends have come together on the anniversary of her death and have made a pact: they will complete Liv's to-do list in tribute to her memory.
Over the next year, before what would've been Liv's thirtieth birthday, her friends set out to complete the tasks. But along the way deeply buried secrets, silent guilt, unrequited love and years of lies, rise to the surface rocking their friendships.
When they reach the end of Liv's list the final task shakes the group to their core and they realise that they must face their futures and the consequences of their pasts, and with Liv's help, live the lives they have always dreamed of.

Firstly I want to apologize for this review being so late and far behind. I want to say Thank you to Katy Regan for sending me a copy of her book, I loved it!
When I got this book, I just loved the cover so much, the colour themes of Red, white and blue was shouting out how British it looked which was great! It is definitely a British story so any reader who is from the UK can relate to it at any time.

So we have Liv Jenkins writing a ultimate to-do-list just before her 30th birthday when tragedy strikes and she leaves her friends suddenly and no chance to complete her tasks. Her friends Fraser, Mia, Anna, Norm and Melody come together on the 2nd year of Liv's death anniversary they make a pact to complete Liv's list together in tribute to her memory...

This story was certainly one I felt I needed tissues with me just incase, Such a bittersweet and lovely story of friendships and love. I did kind of know I was able to relate to this story very much which I suppose you could say It hit me quite hard when was reading but I enjoyed it so much.

I loved all the characters in this book so much, they all seem stuck and struggling to move on with each of their lives after Liv died, each one of them having their own secrets. Mia was Liv's best friend, a single mother but living with her own dark secret, blaming herself & hidden feelings for a certain someone.
Fraser was Liv's boyfriend and you can clearly tell when reading this book how much he did miss Liv but also having feelings for Liv's best friend wasn't something very good that was going to come out of this book...

The rest of the characters all Jelled well together and just knew this List was going to cause problems and thrifts with each one of them. Melody definitely had her own issues with the rest of the group but the one person who shocked me the most was Anna, she shocked me with her deep down problems she actually had and had kept them so quiet from the group.

Katy definitely knew how to write these characters so well and was so raw emotion. I do recommend everyone should read this, It is a tale about five friends, 1 death and 1 list that is going to connect them forever.

This story is definitely a emotional roller coaster book with plenty of dramas, loves, loss, friendships and life. One lesson that everyone should learn: Live Life Like There Is No Tomorrow Because You Never Know What Is Round The Corner...I Highly recommend you read this!!

January Releases

To kick start 2013 I thought I'd share some wonderful new books that are coming out this month! A lot of romantic and valentine ones which I fore one cannot wait to get my hands on hehe! In this blog post I shall share all the new releases that have come out already or due to come out any time soon in this month.
I will give you my opinions on what I think about the book covers and whether I will be grabbing copies of all the books.

To Kick start the first book to come out this month was Sheryl Browne's A Little Bit Of Madness, Now I am a big fan of Sheryl's books and she is also a lovely down to earth author and I am happy to be part of her book tour which is next month hehe!

These next set of books came out round about the same time! I Purchased two of the books myself the other week, I got Eleanor Moran The Last Time I Saw You and Julie Ashton The Valentine's Card. I picked them both because the covers and blurbs looked and sounded great and I needed a pick me up so I thought Eleanor Moran's book could give me feelings about how I cherish my friendship with my best friend ever so much. I needed a new chick lit romantic book and with Valentine's day just pretty much around the corner I knew The Valentine's Card by Julie Ashton would be perfect hehe!

A lovely book that I got sent by Ally Grant publisher of Simon & Schuster who was kind enough to send me a copy of Ali Harris' new release The First Last Kiss, First time I saw this book, I just knew I had to have a copy, I loved the cover and the blurb just sounded ever so romantic hehe.
All of the other books do have great covers and blurbs and I will end up purchasing them at one stage definitely!

Now coming to end of January we have some wonderful new releases that I think will wet everyone's taste for new books. Here they are:

I cannot wait for these lovely new releases to come out! Although I have already read Lucy Robinson's A Passionate Love Affair With A Total Stranger and I loved It! It was my first book by her and it was amazing, I shall be reading more books by Lucy definitely! I have also sneakily purchased Nick Spalding's new book Love. . . From Both Sides for my Kindle, It was cheap enough and have also bought the next follow on book to it as well hehe!

Also another new release that came out on the 22nd of this month was by Vivien Sparx The Falcon Falls, Now If you haven't read any of her books then I say you must do now!

She is a superb lovely author who always has time for her fans and her books are amazing. If you love erotic romantic novels then you will certainly love her books. I have my copy of The Falcon Falls and I cannot wait to start it, Shortly I will be running a competition for you all to win a e-copy of The Falcon Falls courtesy of Vivien herself.

Now everyone, which books are you most looking forward to reading or have already bought and read? Please let me know!
