Love Like The Movies Blog Tour by Victoria Van Tiem

Today I am part of Victoria Van Tiem's blog tour for Love Like The Movies, I was so thrilled to be asked to be part of this blog as I knew I was going to love the book as much as I love my chick-lit films. Thank you Lucie at Pan MacMillan for giving me the chance to read the book and be part of this blog tour.

For Kensington "Kenzi" Shaw, romantic movie fan, life's not quite living up to the fantasies in her favourite films. She might be smart, have a great job and a gorgeous fiance Bradley, but something's missing.
But when heart breaking ex Shane comes back into her life, things are just heating up...
Shane tries to win Kenzi over by re-enacting all the rom-com films they used to watch together - Sleepless In Seattle, Bridget Jones Diary, Love Actually and Dirty Dancing just to name a few. He's just a guy standing in front of a girl asking to trust him again, but has he really changed?
Should she risk her sensible life for the chance of a Happy Ever After? One thing's certain, when Shane meets Kenzi (again), she's suddenly not so sure who her leading man is . . .

I loved this book from start to finish, It was fantastically written, leaves you wanting to re watch all the classic and favourite rom-com's again and again.I had heard/watched most of the films mentioned in the book,
- Pretty Woman
- Sleepless in Seattle
- Dirty Dancing
- Love Actually
- 27 Dresses
- You've Got Mail
- My Best Friend's Wedding
- Say Anything
- Sixteen Candles
- Bridget Jones Diary
Another couple of films mentioned were Maid in Manhattan, How to lose a guy in ten days...

The characters are lovely, It was great reading about Kenzi shaw and her life, Felt a bit sorry for her at times as her friend Ren whos become like a second daughter to Kenzi's mum annouces she is pregnant just as Kenzi and Bradley were about to annouce her engagement so they lime light once again is on Ren. I loved Kenzi's friend Ellie, she just reminded me of my best friend and that's how we would act in some of them scenes, they will have you giggling! I couldn't stand Tonya, I just had a feeling from start that I would dislike her. I was definitely Team Shane throughout the book, he would be my perfect book boyfriend who loves rom-com's and loves reenacting the film scenes. I was happy to see Kenzi gets her happy ever after at the end.. you will smile but also may shed a tear too.

For huge fans of rom-com's are going to love this book so much, It's fun, light hearted and fan-bloody-tastic. There is some fantastic scenes in the book, especially the toy store, paintballing hehe they had me giggling lots.
I just can't express how much I loved this book so much, I just think any chick-lit fan who loves their rom-com's are going to enjoy this just as much as I did. Another thing, is the cover is beautiful even better than the US version.

Book Review: Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe by Rebecca Raisin

Title: Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe
Author: Rebecca Raisin
Publisher: Carina UK (Harlequin)
Publication Date: 20th March 2014

Blurb

Chocolate…the most irresistible temptation?

The Gingerbread Café is all a buzz! This Easter, Lily and the rest of the town of Ashford, Connecticut are planning a truly decadent Chocolate Festival. Cooking up a storm, CeeCee and Lily are not just baking a batch of their sinfully delicious chocolate-dipped gingerbread men, but an excess of chocolate truffles, squidgy, cinnamony hot cross buns and melt in your mouth chocolate eggs. The Gingerbread Café staff have definitely enjoyed the tasting process!

Add in Damon’s cute-as-a-button seven year old daughter, Charlie, up for a visit and Lily’s perfect Easter may just be around the corner. Until her ex-husband Joel turns up demanding twenty thousand dollars… Suddenly the future of the Gingerbread Café is not so clear…and Lily finds herself eating far more of The Gingerbread Café’s treats than her skinny jeans allow…

Can Lily concoct a brilliant plan to save her beloved café, convince Damon she has no feelings for Joel and still throw a Chocolate Festival the town will be talking about for years? There’s only one way to find out...

Welcome back to the warmth, cupcakes and hot chocolate of The Gingerbread Café – your home away from home

This is the second novella in The Gingerbread Café series

Verdict

Love Love Love Love, I am so sorry but I just had to say that over and over. I was so excited when I found out Rebecca had written a second novella to the Gingerbread Cafe series, I loved the first one and couldn't wait to read more on Lily, Damon and CeeCee, This time it's Easter and Lily & CeeCee are getting ready for Easter baking lots of chocolate treats as the town of Ashford Connecticut are planning a truly amazing chocolate festival...very yummy indeed.

I just loved everything about this book, It was great to catch up with Lily, Damon and CeeCee straight away, I also love chocolate so while i was reading i was drooling so much. We also have a new face in this second book, being Damon's cute little seven year old daughter Charlie, which was so lovely to read the closeness between Lily and Charlie.
Disliked Joel very much, he is Lily's ex-husband and comes to Ashford to cause trouble for Lily and her beloved Gingerbread Cafe, but Lily will do anything to save her business and not let Joel get away with his nastyness.

I just love the style of Rebecca's writing and the chapters i felt i was flying through but enjoyed so much. I feel that i live in Ashford myself and that Lily & CeeCee are my friends, the characters come across so friendly, bubbly & like a good gossip. I would happily spend all day in that cafe, hehe.
Definitely
didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it  rating for this fab book and excited to read more from these lovely characters. You want to have a giggle, then this book is for you!

Fall From India Place(On Dublin Street #4) Blog Tour by Samantha Young

Title: Fall From India Place

Author: Samantha Young
Publisher: Piatkus
Publication Date: 3rd June 2014

Today I am part of the lovely blog tour for the great new book Fall From India Place by the fabulous Samantha Young. I was so excited when I was asked by Clara from Piatkus would i love to be part of this fab blog tour and I squealed at the chance, so thank you Clara for letting me be part of this tour.

I am such a huge fan of Samantha Young's books and I have fallen in love with the On Dublin street Series of books so much, i have many book boyfriends now thanks to Samantha. Fall From India Place is no different and was even more intense & beautiful.

We meet Hannah Nichols who last time saw Marco D'Alessandro five years ago, he left her heartbroken. Marco is the only man Hannah has ever truly loved, ever been with and hasn't been able to move on.
Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco’s life, something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight. Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they’re meant to be together.…

Fall From India Place is just brilliant, I was hooked right away and even finished in hours. I loved reading about Hannah and Marco, while reading you could tell they had unfinished business and that it was going to get messy and nasty before it could get sweet & cute. The chemistry between Hannah and Marco, definitely has you gripping your seat rooting for them to make up and live happily ever after. It was great to also read some familiar names from past On Dublin Street series (eg, Braden & Joss, Jo & Cam..)and what they are all up to now.

This fab book is written so perfectly with plenty of things to have you hooked within the characters lifes but also plenty of passion & sparks flying. The style of writing is superb, you really get to understand Hannah & Marco. This is why the On Dublin Street series is doing so amazingly well with the characters and the storylines are fantastic.

Fall from India Place is an emotional roller-coaster but your going to love the characters alot. you will feel both their pains but will be smiling by the time you get to the last page. if You love the On Dublin Street series then your going to love this. Fall From India Place is one book your not going to want to put down, I certainly couldn't..

Once again Samantha you have written a perfect book and cannot wait for more in the series. For any new readers of Samantha Young's you must read all of her books, they amazing with plenty of emotions, laughter, love, sexual chemistry and just pure brilliant.

Fiction Addiction Book Tours: Review of Slope Of Love by Melissa Foster

Title: Slope of Love

Author: Melissa Foster

Olympic gold medalist skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been best friends for years. They've seen each other at their best and worst and have kept each other's secrets without fail. Only there's one secret Rush has kept close to his chest. After months of introspection, Rush realizes he's been filling his bed but not tending to his heart. He's changed his womanizing ways, and the only woman who can fill his heart has been right by his side all this time.

Years of intimate conversations and the sharing of hopes and dreams collide when Rush reveals his secret, and one toe-curling kiss changes everything between Rush and Jayla. They're no match for the passion that kiss ignites, or the pull of true love. But being Rush's best friend means knowing all about his revolving bedroom door--and Jayla has a secret of her own that could jeopardize her career and her relationship with Rush. Even their love may not be enough to overcome Rush's past or secure Jayla's future.

Verdict

I want to say a massive thank you to Sharon at Fiction Addiction for letting me be part of this wonderful book of Melissa Foster's fabulous book series.
First of, I love the cover so much, looks very sexual and you just know it's a book that going to be full of chemistry between two characters.

In Slope of Love we meet Olympic gold medalist skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington, they have been best friends for years.Seen each other at their best and their worst, Rush has kept one secret close to himself, a womanizer but now he realised what he really wants and the only woman who can fill his heart...Will he succeed?

I have loved every single book in this series, Slope of Love was just as amazing, You easily get drawn into the chapters and you easily fall in love with the characters.
As soon as I was into the first couple of chapters, I knew i was going to love reading about Rush and Jayla, Reading about their chemistry and their friendship was so cute and lovely.

Jayla Stone is a such a sweet girl but can also be stubborn in which doesn't help in her favour at times, but also knows shes got a great friendship/relationship with Rush.
Rush Remington is a hunky skier, who used to be a womanizer but has finally changed his ways and is out to prove it to one lovely lady in his life. He comes across as so sweet and caring, and will do anything for the woman that he loves.

I don't want to give to much away about Slope of Love as you need to curl up and read it for yourself. It's one of those books that your going to enjoy this so much, you will laugh, you may cry but you will also fall in love.

Slope of Love can be read on its own but if you want to enjoy the characters more and read more like this book then its great to read the rest of the series, in which il list the series below.

A Fantastic book in the series once again, I fell in love with Rush's & Jayla's relationship, i cried but also laughed hell of a lot too.

Cassandra Lopez's Debut Guest Review: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

The fault in our stars by John green

I was introduced by this book from a relative. So I went on their recommendations.
The book cover is bright and eye catching with clouds!
Picked it up from waterstones at half price - bargain!

The fault in our stars is about a young girl called Hazel Grace who has cancer of the lungs. She attends a cancer kid support group regularly where she meets a boy called Augustus Waters, without giving too much information out, she becomes very close with Augustus.

In this book, Hazel re-reads a book called "an imperial affiliation" by Peter Van Houten. She decides because the book didn't end properly she sends the author fan mail. She gets nothing back - however Augustus gets involved after Hazel asks him to read the book, without giving too much away for anyone who hasn't read the book!

This book is all about children dying of cancer (and surviving) so it is a sad novel. I thoroughly liked the character "Isaac" he has cancer of the eyes, however despite that he is a very bubbly character. Both Hazel`s and Augustus`s parents were very understanding.
The film to this book is coming out soon I shall be watching it when it comes out!

I thoroughly recommend this book it's sad, but funny at times, I couldn't put it down! I read the book in 3 days! It gets a definite  didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it  stars from me!
