Plot.

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper Extraordinaire, Is back in this sexy, suspenseful novel of supernatural shenanigans.
When Charley is rudely awakened in the middle of the night by her best friend who tells her one of her high school friends Mimi has gone missing. Meanwhile, Reyes Alexander Farrow(otherwise known as the Son of Satan. Yes. Literally) has left his corporeal body and is haunting Charley. He's left his body because he's being tortured by demons who want to lure Charley closer. But Reyes can't let that happen, Because if the demons get to Charley, they'll have a portal to heaven. And if they have a portal to heaven...well, let's just say it wouldn't be pretty. Can Charley handle hot nights with Reyes and even hotter days tracking down a missing woman? Will Cookie ever get a true fashion sense? And is there enough coffee and chocolate in the world to fuel them as they do?

My Opinion

I loved this second book more than the first, I was hooked from the first chapter with Charley's best friend Cookie has just bought a car and Charley mentions something to do with the dead and how there is a dead guy in her trunk so Yes Cookie freaks big time! Charley is then asked by Cookie to investigate the reason why her high school friend Mimi has gone missing...Well when they start to connect the dots they find more and more people from Mimi's high school had died recently and it was all connecting together somehow.

I liked Reyes Farrow a lot more in this book, he wasn't as creepy as the first one and I even felt sorry for him really as it was sweet that he was always there to protect Charley because she always seems to attract the wrong kind of guy lol.
Loved all the wittyness and sarcasm again in this book, it had me giggling to myself & I can't wait to read the third book. Would recommend any one to read this book series!

First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) By Darynda Jones

didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it

Private investigator Charlotte Davidson was born with three things: looks; a healthy respect for the male anatomy; and the rather odd job title of grim reaper. Since the age of five, she has been helping the departed solve the mysteries of their deaths so they can cross over. Thus, when three lawyers from the same law firm are murdered, they come to her to find their killer.

In the meantime, Charley's dealing with a being more powerful - and definitely sexier - than any spectre she' ever come across before. With the help of a pain in the ass skip tracer, a dead pubescent gangbanger named Angel, and a lifetime supply of sarcasm, Charley sets out to solve the highest profile case of the year and discovers that dodging bullets isn't nearly as dangerous as falling in love.

Really enjoyed this book alot. At first it seemed to drag a bit but i soon got into following charley davidson and that she is the grim reaper so see's alot of dead people. I love the sarcastic remarks she comes out with alot.

I thought that reyes was a bit creepy and some weird guy who seems to follow charley around but also is sweet when he seems to be there at the right moment when she is in danger. Charley's uncle bob seems such a cutie he looks after her alot, However i didnt warm up to Garrett, he seemed to judge charley straight away and thought she was a bit weird because she see's dead people hehe.

I loved charley's best friend Cookie..she is just a mad hatter completely and drinks wayyyy too much coffee!

I cant wait to follow on with the series. I would reccomend anyone to read this series because i honestly tell you, that you will be giggling away.
