Book Review: Castle Hill by Samantha Young

Title: Castle Hill
Author: Samantha Young
Publisher: Piatkus
Publication Date: 5th December 2013

Blurb
Braden Carmichael never imagined he'd fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he's never letting go. He's got it all planned - the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon - even the perfect family they'll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can't understand. After everything they've been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far - and risk losing everything all over again...

Verdict

WOW! it was so great to catch up with Joss and Braden once again! I was introduced to On Dublin Street in the summer and boy am I glad to have read the book because I have been hooked ever since and been reading every book in the series!

Samantha Young you are a wonderful author! Please keep showering us with this handsome book boyfriends and these wonderful books that we can never forget about after reading!
Castle Hill is just a Novella a suppose a little sneak peak into their busy lives after On Dublin Street. There is 6 chapters but them 6 chapters will leave you being blown away and want more of Joss & Braden again!

I don't want to give to much away as its only short but let's just say there is a wedding, an argument( always is with Joss & Braden hehe), plenty of sex scenes!
Jocelyn & Braden are certainly the most loved up and adorable book couple ever and anyone who hasn't read their story needs to read right now!

The best thing about Castle Hill is that you have little snippets from On Dublin Street in which you remember and makes you want to grab your copy and read over and over.

Best Quote from the book:
“You’re my everything. You know that right?”
“You don’t need to sweet-talk me to get sex, babe.”
My eyes smiled. “Well that kind of knowledge could have saved me months of uncomfortable expressions of love.”

A Mind Blowing 5 Stars that is truly deserved with Samantha Young's Books

Book Review: A Gift To Remember by Melissa Hill

Title: A Gift To Remember

Author: Melissa Hill
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Uk
Publication Date: 24th October 2013

Blurb

Darcy Archer works in a small bookstore on Manhattan's Upper West Side. A dreamer who secretly wishes for true love similar to that in her beloved novels, Darcy refuses to settle for anything less than being swept off her feet by the perfect man.

One day, when cycling to work, Darcy accidentally crashes into a sharply dressed man walking his dog. He is knocked unconscious and rushed to the hospital, but his dog gets left behind. Wracked with guilt over the accident, Darcy resolves to care for the dog and reunite him with his owner. But the dog is not the only thing that's been left behind and when she finds a small beautifully wrapped package - suspiciously shaped like a book - she becomes curious. She decides to try and figure out all she can about this man, and make the delivery herself. Darcy gradually becomes drawn into his life; one that she soon discovers is filled with books, travel, adventure and all the wonderful things she's ever dreamt about. It doesn't take long before Darcy builds up a picture of this man's lovely life, and feeling an immediate kinship towards him, tries to make things right.

It might be a challenge but doesn't she owe it to him to try? But does fantasy match reality? And what happens when he finally wakes up?

Verdict

Yay Melissa Hill You have done it once again! Loved Loved Loved this ever so much!
The book just looked ever so cute and festive and I knew it was going to catch people's eyes when on shelves for everyone to buy!

We meet Darcy Archer who works in a small bookstore on Manhattan's Upper West Side, One day when cycling to work, Darcy knocks over (Like literally lol!) a neatly dressed man walking his dog, he is rushed to hospital and Darcy is left with his dog and does anything in her power to help the dog be reunited with the owner...

This is just an amazingly cute read in which you will love Darcy so much in this book, I knew straight away Darcy working in a bookstore I knew I would love as it would be my kind of job but when she knocks over the very handsome Aiden Harris and has to try help piece back his life together as he cannot remember a thing about his life, Darcy certainly does have her work cut out but with little clues and other pieces she manages to connect everything back together and it is just ever so romantic!
I knew instantly there was a connection between Aiden & Darcy they just had to find it which was so cute. I loved the ending which had my heart melting :)

Melissa Hill is a tremendous writer and her books are always a happy ever after ending in which every chick lit readers loves very much.
This is definitely one of my favourite Christmas Reads 2013 and I really do recommend everyone to grab a copy of A Gift to Remember and curl up one afternoon with this fantastic book as I promise you aren't going to be disappointed. You will be so hooked you won't want to be disturbed!

An Magical, Festive and a true Happy ever after ending makes this a wonderful 5 Star rating

I am a recent new fan of Alexandra Brown's Books and I am so kicking myself as to why I hadn't read Cupcakes at Carrington's sooner..but I suppose my TBR pile is that high at the moment I kinda know why.
Firstly the cover of Cupcakes just looks superb! I feel every girl needs a book like this on their shelves as its girly and anything to do with shopping I just love!

We meet Georgie Hart who runs the luxury handbag concession at Carrington's Department store in Beautiful seaside town of Mulberry-On-Sea who gets to enjoy and treat herself to a red velvet cupcake with buttercream....(Yum don't that just make your mouth water already) hehe!
But as always Georgie is going to be thrown into a panic when Carrington's is plunged into recession makover, where the nasty Maxine arrives and is hating everybody in sight.

I just loved this book ever so much, I loved that it was about a Department store which when being described reminded me of Harrods which I just totally love very much! I think it is really cute how Carrington's is based in a seaside town called Mulberry-On-Sea...Very cute Alexandra!

I loved all the characters in this book..apart from nasty Maxine! Pffftt! Georgie is just amazingly cute and the situation she gets herself into was just so funny but I did feel sorry for her too! She comes across as quite down to earth and is always happy to everybody out and is so sweet.
I also loved Eddie, He is just amazing and super cute! I totally want him to be my Gay Best Friend I would really love that and so would he(hehe :)!)
In every chick lit book there always is a hotty and Tom Carrington or Mr Carrington ;) is just drop dead gorgeous hehe! I want one please Alex!!

O M G! why haven't I heard of Teri Riggs before?? Seriously? Resolutions is fantastic! It is only an e-book of 213 pages but it is a fast pacing read that will leaving you wanting more of Eve Taylor and Mac Mckenna for sure.

Resolutions is an action packed read in which DEA Agent Eve Taylor is on a mission to gather evidence on a drug lord, she discovers the drug lord is helping terrorists plan an attack on American soil. But the mission goes wrong and Eve ends up being captured by the drug lord which turns out very nasty for sure.
That's when Resolutions operative Mac Mckenna gets put on the mission to rescue his former lover Eve Taylor...

It was a fantastic read, such brilliantly written and keeps you guessing all the way through! I am soo shocked I have never read this before tbh, I could happily read it again for sure! I will definitely recommended this book to everyone!
I loved the love/hate relationship between Eve and Mac but I think we all know they were going to make up and get back together hehe...although Teri soon makes you keep guessing.

In every action book you always have to have a hero and Mac Mckenna was certainly that! I kept trying to picture someone to fit his type, It would have to be this hotty for sure
Gerard Butler....Yummmy! hehe

Fast Pacing and A romantic Hero too.. what more could you want from this book?

Fiction Addiction Book Tours Guest Post : I Found You by Jane Lark

Fiction Addiction Book Tours Guest Post : I Found You by Jane Lark
Published: 5th December 2013
Would you go home with a stranger?
That’s what Rachel does in chapter one of I Found You… But would you?
Mmm… I think to go back with a man who is a complete stranger I would have to be in the place Rachel is, homeless on the streets, not thinking straight and penniless…
I did meet a girl in a bar when I was nineteen who was in that position and probably would have. She’d been made homeless that day, she’d been kicked out of her boyfriend’s family’s house and she had nowhere to sleep that night. I’d never met her before. I even ended up getting her a job where I worked… I won’t tell you the story that followed that, it’s hers not mine. But she never laid down any roots anywhere and no one ever got to really know her, and she was the only habitual liar I have ever met. I mean she lied about everything and so many meaningless things. I learned a lot of new stuff about life from her. It was an interesting friendship. Rachel isn’t this girl, nothing like her. But this girl did take risks. She would have gone back with a man who was a complete stranger just to have somewhere to stay. So people do; people in Rachel’s situation anyway.
I can get inside Rachel’s mind a little though. I did have some colourful years in my youth when I spent nights on floors in people’s houses after we’d got talking in the pub, and instead of walking home I just used to stay there in a chair or a sofa. I spent nearly two years living like that, floor or sofa camping most weekends, and not with any regular group of friends. But what made me decide to trust a person enough to take the risk of going back to their house - balance of risk;
* Women I always considered safer, obviously – so if it was a woman who asked me back, or other women had been invited too, my judgement reduced the risk.
* But men… I’ve always considered myself a fair judge of character, I guess I judged by the look in their eyes, and their smile, and their body language, if they were coming on to me, or looking leery, no way – if they were talking like mates, yes.
I could never think wholly like Rachel as Rachel’s personality is only matched by a very small percentage of people, but I guess that is what I think she is subconsciously judging. Even though on the night she and Jason meet, she’s not thinking clearly, and she’s a huge mess. I guess when I wrote this scene, to me, Jason instantly comes across as the guy you are going to trust…

Blurb
Tomorrow is for regrets. Tonight is for being together.
On a cold winter night, Rachel and Jason’s lives collide on Manhattan Bridge. She’s running from life, he’s running toward it. But compassion urges him to help her.
His offer of a place to stay leads to friendship and trouble. There’s his fiancĂ©e back home in Oregon and a family who just don’t trust this girl from the wrong side of the tracks.
But when the connection between them is so electric, so right… everyone else must be wrong. And as the snow begins to settle on the Hudson, there’s nothing but the possibility of what could be – of this, right here, right now. Them.

Verdict

Yayyyy Angela and Alex are back!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I was very excited about I heart Christmas coming out. I have loved the I heart series so much so far and when I heard there was going to be one more I was so over joyed hehe!

Let's hope Angela gets her perfect Christmas...

This was just ever so superb! I loved it and even finished it in a day! I just couldn't put the book down, was so hooked and enjoying catching up with what Angela and Alex had been doing, now a newlywed couple they are preparing themselves for Christmas which any British girl like Angela loves although she hasn't got the Boots catalogue to help her with the countdown to Christmas though this time.

I am such a huge fan of Lindsey Kelk's books So I knew this one wasn't going to disappoint and I wasn't wrong..I was laughing, crying, and just loving the book so much.
I loved the cover first time I set my eyes on it, I got all giddy thinking about Christmas..and this was back in November hehe.

It was so good to read about Angela, Jenny and Louisa altogether again yay :) I Heart Christmas concentrate on more on Louisa and what she is facing at home with her husband Tim in which she comes running all the way to New York to escape.
Jenny always brings Drama with her wherever she goes which always makes you giggle :)

and guess who else comes back??? you got it. CICI!! yes i was like OMG! when I read but I still giggle now about a certain page in the book tehe! Let's just say Team Louisa hehe!

Even though Lindsey has said this is the last book in the I heart series for a while, I feel it isn't going to be the last time as I feel with the ending left it wide open for another few more books of Angela and Alex.
I heart Christmas definitely has a festive feeling in which you want to get all cosy up and read picturing it being Christmas already hehe!
It is one festive read to be given as a present for Christmas this year just spread more love for the I Heart Series once again!
